I will be your tour guide. |

When you come on a Sydney Guided Walks Walk, your tour guide
will usually be me. Otherwise, it will be someone that I have carefully
trained to be your tour guide. We will all try to make you feel
special, and give you an wonderful and enjoyable tour.
I was born to be a tour guide. For more than fifteen years
I guided at The Rocks, another historic area that is a locality
within the City of Sydney. I took people from Australia and tourists
from all around the world, on walking/talking tours of The Rocks
area of Sydney.
The groups were individuals, company groups and tour groups
and many other variations. Definitely challenging, but great fun,
were the educational tours given for various school groups of every
age range.
At the same time I raised my family; taught public speaking
at evening college; gained a degree (Bachelor of Education in Adult
Education); and belonged to Toastmasters (still do). I also gave
my time as a guest speaker to many clubs such as Probus and View,
who raise money for charity.
All that done, I turned my energy and passion for Australian
History and for meeting people, into creating Sydney Guided Walks.
My philosophy for this enterprise is that each and every tour is
a unique new experience, for every group and every person in the
group.
The feeling throughout the tour will be one of fun and friendship
yet with a purpose to know more of the history of Sydney through
anecdotes and stories, facts and photos, looking and listening.
All guides are experienced public speakers and their aim is to be
friendly, entertaining and informative. You will benefit from all
our experience, when you come on one of our tours.
